    MCDONOUGH PALLET RACK

Pallet Racks & Warehouse Racking in McDonough, GA

New rack systems planned around your pallet sizes, load weights, clear height and forklift reach. We lay out, supply and install storage that fits the way your warehouse receives, holds and moves product.

From Westridge Parkway and King Mill Road to the GA-155 and GA-20 interchanges, Henry County buildings need different beam levels and aisle arrangements. Start with the building drawing and the actual load profile.

Use the height your forklift can actually reach

Newer tilt-wall bulk and cross-dock buildings along I-75 are generally 32–40 ft clear, with 36 ft common. Older established McDonough stock around Westridge can be roughly 24 ft clear. Those buildings call for different rack heights, beam levels and reserve layouts. We measure the working space and check loaded truck reach before setting upper elevations.

Beam capacity follows the supported load at the specified span. Pallet height, carton overhang and handling clearance belong in the same discussion. A rack drawing should identify those load families rather than repeat one bay and assume every pallet will fit.

Henry County receiving brings mixed pallets and cold stock

Retail and consumer-goods imports arrive from Savannah through I-16 and I-75, often in floor-loaded containers or with mixed pallet footprints. A defined receiving and pallet-preparation buffer keeps those loads from occupying working rack aisles. General distribution and auto-parts stock often need selective positions for direct access, while repeated reserve quantities can justify a denser zone.

Henry County’s cold-storage cluster includes cooler, freezer and automated freezer buildings for grocery and food distribution. Pushback, drive-in and pallet flow have different access and rotation rules. We compare operating temperature, pallet construction, weights and stock turns rather than choosing one system for every cold room.

Reserve pallets, carton picking and long material

E-commerce and 3PL activity extends south to Locust Grove’s Bill Gardner Parkway and Bethlehem Road areas and toward Hampton around Lower Woolsey Road and Atlanta Motor Speedway. Tall reserve, carton flow and pick-module support need a shared replenishment plan, but not necessarily the same elevations or row lengths.

Building-material and manufacturing users need another angle. Cantilever supports lumber, pipe and long bundles, while selective rack holds suitable palletized components. Draw the handled-load route for each type of stock so long material and pallet traffic do not depend on the same tight turn.

Installation is part of the operating layout

Long, hot and humid Georgia summers affect crews and staging in mostly non-air-conditioned warehouses. Spring and summer thunderstorms influence unloading coordination. Before installation, agree on rack-material receiving, staging boundaries and the zones that can be handed over to inventory while work continues elsewhere.

For a warehouse move, the destination storage plan comes first. Teardown, component labeling and transfer should follow the new beam schedule and aisle arrangement rather than force the old layout into a different building. A warehouse consultation starts with both building drawings, load dimensions and the truck specification.
